My Keltic Knot is the best yet, but I also blended a 10YO Arran, 12 YO Dark Rum finish peated benriach and a touch of HP 12YO. Not bad!

Bushmills 10 Year Old single malt whiskey is triple distilled from 100% malted barley and matured for at least 10 years in sherry butts and bourbon barrels, giving it extra luscious notes of vanilla honey, ripe red fruits and creamy milk chocolate. We make whiskey like it's always been made round here. But Bushmills is much more than just a whiskey. It's a village, where families, friends and neighbours work side by side at the distillery. As we often say, 'without the village there'd be no whiskey, and without the whiskey there'd be no village'.

These designs underpin our Bushmills character and quality while delivering a strong and confident appeal to the new generations of single malt explorers worldwide.” Bushmills Bottler Distillery Bottling Bottling serie Sherry Cask Finish Bottled 19.12.2020 Stated Age 10 years old Casktype American Oak + Oloroso Sherry Barrel Finish Strength 46.0 % Vol. Size 1000 ml Label Limited Release - Cask Reserve Bottle code L0354 IB 001 Barcode 5055966830050 Bottled for Travel Retail Added on 15 mar 2021 5:25 pm by Maltpuschel Our Service is an online platform which provides Members with information (e.g. bottle facts, market-indices, market values and prices) on (mostly) whisky and allows Members to add information to the platform. On the nose, it's apple. Baked apple, fresh apple, calvados. Some orange peel. I also get quite bit from the sherry cask: chocolate, ripened grapes, wood. I'm quite impressed so far. Finish: Lingers well, smooth, yet crispy from time to time. Toffee and hints of honey. Oak tannins are strong in the aftertaste and water makes it stronger. NOSE: Initial accents of zesty citrus fruits intertwine with the distinctive Bushmills honey character, precede lingering sweet aromas of fresh vanilla and creamy milk chocolate Complex fruit again leads the charge with notes of malt, vanilla, honey, a light spice and a light sherry like sweetness. A touch of walnut shells and citrus spring up towards the end before the finish.FINISH: Strong and slightly dry, the complexity of the flavours linger on the palate with hints of warming ginger and spiced pear We may sell, license, transfer, assign or in any other way dispose of the Service (including Members) to any third party without any notification to you, e.g. (but without limitation) in connection with any reorganization, restructuring, merger or sale, or other transfer of assets. I've come to share my love of whiskey with my dad, although I must admit I'm not a connoisseur or pretend to know what makes a particular good one at that. It's why I gave my dad, and my partner, Mark, a try of the Bushmills Irish Whiskey, which comes from the world’s oldest licensed distillery, Bushmills. For me, I didn't like the whiskey on its own, it was too overpowering and I was disappointed to not be able to define the notes of honey coming through. I did mix mine with Coca-Cola though, which I know is a sin in the whiskey world. However, most importantly, my dad loved this brand so at least now I know what to get him for Father's Day.

I prefer the old bottling better. This one tastes more fruit heavy whereas the previous bottling was more creamy with a fruity topping. NOSE: very gentle and fresh; creamy, a bit of citrus (lemon, lime), banana bread, ripe banana skin, apples, slightly floral, a touch of cocoa powder. Bushmills 10 is where Bushmills really starts getting good and that triple distilled Irish single malt gets a chance to shine. From the complex and aromatic nose to the warm fruity palate it’s wonderful whiskey and I can’t recommend it enough. It’s quality drams like this that make me wonder why so many folks have such a bias against Irish Whiskey. Sure some of the blends are crap, but so are some Scottish blends. The single malts and single post sills though, those can be very nice indeed. This was my whisky club's bottle for its annual Irish selection in March 2015. It was still hanging around a year later when it made a repeat appearance next to some other Irish bottles in March of this year, which says a lot about how rarely any of us grabbed it during all the club meetings in between. He said: "The first taste I thought was quite smooth but after the first couple of sips the taste got a little harsher. I preferred to drink it with ginger ale, measuring the same amount as the whiskey, a single shot. The ginger ale helped take away some of the harshness without compromising on taste. I would buy this again but would always drink with ginger ale."Bushmills 12 Year Old single malt whiskey is triple distilled from 100% malted barley and matured in Oloroso sherry butts and bourbon barrels before being finished in marsala barriques from Sicily. The palate starts off fairly nondescript, but then the buttered pastry shows up, with white pepper, liquorice, milk chocolate and green tea. Simple and straightforward, but quite nice. Water brings out more malt, spice and apple skins.
