Based on the iconic novels by Enid Blyton, the 13-part series follows the adventures of Darrell Rivers as she leaves home for the first time to attend an all-girls’ boarding school. With Ellen still missing after being caught with Mr. Parker's pen, the girls begin to question whether or not she is truly innocent. It forces Sally to look into Ellen's trunk only to learn she only has a blanket. Gwen comes up with the idea that Ellen must be stealing everything since she's poor, so the girls decide to talk to Miss Grayling about it during the break. Meanwhile Gwen decides to try and get rid of the stuff she has stolen, but in the process it could cause Mary-Lou to get hurt. In 2009, six more books were added to the series by author Pamela Cox. Events in these take place after Darrell has left the school and focus on her younger sister, Felicity Rivers. Danya Griver as Gwendoline Mary Lacey, a spoiled and callous girl who has been homeschooled by a Governess her whole life up until enrolling in Malory Towers. Enid Blyton’s six books about Malory Towers were published one a year from 1946 to 1951. There are six additional books, now considered as books 6-12 in the series, written by Pamela Cox in 2009. These were reissued alongside the original books in 2019. When the books were reissued with new covers in 2019, minor editorial amendments were made where necessary (to correct errors, to restore original text that had previously been changed, or to bring the text in line with the editorial standards above).
